...Near Critical fire weather conditions over the Rio Grande
plains and portions of the southern Edwards Plateau through early
evening due to gusty winds and low humidity...
Minimum daytime humidity will be lowest today in the west, then
humidity values stay above 30 percent the remainder of the week.
Near the Rio Grande and southern Edwards Plateau, humidity values
drop into the 20 to 25 percent range today as southeasterly wind
peaks in the afternoon, with sustained winds 10-20 mph with gusts
up to 30 mph. Very hot conditions continue through the week with
little rainfall expected. Low precipitation chances leading to
isolated wetting rains will mainly be over the Coastal Plains
through Thursday. Southerly wind eases slightly after today but
gusty wind may still be seen each afternoon and evening with the
seabreeze.
