.DISCUSSION...
Mostly rain-free conditions and above average afternoon high
temperatures will continue through the rest of the week and into
the weekend. There may be a few spotty brief rain showers or a
stray storm each afternoon over the Rio Grande Plains or lower
Coastal Prairies through daytime Saturday. Slightly more
instability builds into the region from the northwest Saturday
night, setting up low chances for rain over the broader region
through Sunday. Models suggest a possible cold front with a chance
of more organized storms for Monday and Tuesday. Minimum relative
humidity values will generally range in the 30 to 40 percent
range each afternoon across most of the area with a few locations
able to briefly dip below 30 percent. Winds will remain mostly
from the south-southeast and could be occasionally gusty at times
through the afternoon and evening hours.
