.DISCUSSION...
Periods of breezy southerly wind are forecast through Saturday.
Minimum afternoon humidity each day will stay above 30 percent in
the east, but may fall as low as 25 percent along the Rio Grande
where temperatures will be warmest. The combination of breezy
wind, low humidity and dry fuels could lead to brief periods of
locally elevated fire weather conditions each afternoon along the
Rio Grande. Chances for showers and thunderstorms return in the
west Friday night with chances increasing across the entire area
Saturday through Sunday morning as a cold front moves into the
region. Drier air will move back into the western part of the
region on Sunday and will keep humidity below 30 percent through
Monday across those areas. The rain and storm chances will return
to most of the region through mid to late week.
