.DISCUSSION...
Hot and rain free conditions continue. The driest air of the week
occurs over the region this afternoon with the minimum humidity
dipping into the 18 to 28 percent range. 20 foot winds remain
relatively light, however, in the 6 to 12 kt ranges. Despite the
lighter flow, the dry air is enough to mention a locally elevated
fire weather risk, especially with the rise of small brush fires
during the last week or so in portions of the area. Tuesday
afternoon sees a small rebound in humidity, into the 25 to 35
percent range. Wednesday afternoon looks to again trend slightly
drier in the 20 to 30 percent range before moisture levels remain
steady or slowly climb late week through the weekend. The winds
remain steady with a light to modest south-southeasterly flow. No
wetting rains are forecast through the period.
