Llano River at Llano affecting Llano County. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. To escape rising water, take the shortest path to higher ground. Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim, or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters, stop, turn around and go another way. Additional information is available at www.weather.gov. Major damage will occur downstream in Kingsland to boats and docks. Secondary and primary roads and bridges in the flood plain will be extremely dangerous to motorists. Lowest homes and businesses in the Highland Lakes below Kingsland will be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 3:00 PM CDT Friday the stage was 12.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 3:00 PM CDT Friday was 12.0 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise to 26.1 feet late this afternoon.
