...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 1030 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of south central Texas, including the following
  county, Uvalde.

* WHEN...Until 1030 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 728 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Up to 1 inch of rain has
    fallen.
  - This includes the following streams and drainages...
    Deep Creek, Honey Creek, Sabinal River, Rancheros Creek,
    Cooks Slough, Onion Creek, Bear Creek, Sycamore Creek, Little
    Blanco Creek, Salt Creek, Bailey Creek, Hackberry Creek,
    Mouser Creek, Brushy Creek, Little Indian Creek, Comanche
    Creek, Dinner Creek, Taylor Slough, Frio River, Blanco Creek,
    Elm Creek, Indian Creek, Dry Frio River, Leona River, Fush
    Creek and Nolton Creek.
    Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
    the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Sabinal, Concan, Knippa and Reagan Wells.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
