The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  South Central Uvalde County in south central Texas...
  Northeastern Zavala County in south central Texas...

* Until 1215 PM CDT.

* At 913 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3.5 inches of
  rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 4 to 6 inches in 1
  hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the
  warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Uvalde, La Pryor, Batesville, Washer, Uvalde Estates and Farm to
  Market Road 117.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
