...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL SIERRA AND WESTERN
DONA ANA COUNTIES THROUGH 600 PM MDT...

At 516 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Derry. This thunderstorm was nearly stationary.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Arrey, Derry, Garfield, and Caballo Lake.

This includes Interstate 25 in New Mexico between mile markers 48 and
60.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.
