THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory,west winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts
  up to 50 mph expected.

* WHERE...Portions of Far West Texas

* WHEN..From 9 AM this morning to 6 PM MST this evening.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
  limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Travel
  could be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Wind Advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected. Winds
this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.

MORNING...

* WHAT... West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 70 mph
  possible.

* WHERE... Upper elevation and eastern slopes of area mountains. In
  New Mexico, East Slopes Sacramento Mountains Below 7500 Feet
  and West Central Tularosa Basin/White Sands,southern Gila Region
  Highlands/Black Range. In Texas, Eastern/Central El Paso
  County.


* WHEN...From Thursday evening through Friday morning.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power lines.
  Widespread power outages are possible. Travel could be
  difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A High Wind Watch means there is the potential for a hazardous
high wind event. Sustained winds of at least 40 mph, or gusts of
58 mph or stronger may occur. Continue to monitor the latest
forecasts.
