...HIGH WIND WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON MDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...West winds 40 to 50 mph with gusts up to 70 mph.

* WHERE...Portions of South-Central New Mexico and Far West Texas.

* WHEN...Until noon MDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Strong winds may cause structural damage and will blow
  around secured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and power
  outages may result.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The strongest winds will occur through
  mountain passes and east slopes. Locations at highest risk include
  Northeast El Paso, Central El Paso, WSMR Main Post, and the
  western ridge of the Sacramento Mountains.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and
avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution
if you must drive.
