.DISCUSSION...
Thanks to a broad ridge of high pressure, transitioning to a flat
zonal flow pattern into the weekend, the region will continue with
much warmer, and quite drier than normal conditions. Daily high
temperatures will be 15 to 20 degrees above normal, and near or at
records. Nights will be mild. The airmass will be very dry, with
single-digit afternoon min RH, and poor overnight recovery. Winds
won`t be strong, but minor passing waves, will allow for minor and
occassional afternoon breezes. These conditions, combined with high
ERC values, will mean elevated fire weather for the remainder of the
week. Deeper mixing and moderate winds aloft will make for good and
better ventilation.
