.DISCUSSION...
Today`s strong winds and Critical fire weather conditions will linger
into the evening. The storm system exit the region, with lighter winds
overnight. A minor Pacific front will push across the region this evening
as the system depart, and that will bring in even drier air for very
poor overnight recoveries. Temperatures will continue slightly warmer than
average, with very dry air remaining in place. RH will drop into the single
digits lowlands, and lower teens mountains. Winds will be much lighter, but
still somewhat breezy in the afternoon. Thus we do moderate fire weather
conditions, but keep them Elevated for tomorrow through Saturday, with dry
air and breezy afternoons. The next period of RFW/Critical fire weather
concerns returns for Sunday and Monday, as the next Pacific trough brings
more strong winds to the region.
