.DISCUSSION...
Clouds and rain showers remain over much of the area this morning.
A weak upper level low and abundant moisture will remain across the
area today, but instability will be limited due to overnight rainfall.
The Sacramento Mountains have the best chance for seeing thunderstorms
with heavy rainfall potential, with isolated coverage elsewhere.
Some showers and thunderstorms may try to work in from the south later
tonight, but confidence is low. Light winds and stable air will
limit vent rates this afternoon, especially across the lower
elevations.
Precip chances will be scaled down through the week, at least compared
to Monday, but will favor the higher terrain. Afternoon RH values will
be highest today, but will drop into the lower-20s for the lowlands by
the weekend. Still, overnight recovery will be good, especially in
the mountains.
