.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather concerns are low. Noticeably drier air will be present across
the area for today with little to no shower/storm chances in the forecast,
except for Hudspeth County and southern Otero County where an isolated storm
or two will be possible. Min RH values this afternoon will trend way down from
yesterday with critically low Min RH values for areas along and west of the Rio
Grande Valley with slightly higher values to the east. High temperatures this
afternoon will 3 to 6 degrees warmer than yesterday. Winds light and variable or
terrain/drainage driven this morning, becoming west/northwesterly at 7 to 15 mph.
Smoke ventilation rates during the afternoon will be very good to excellent. Hot
and dry conditions persist through the week ahead.
