.DISCUSSION...
Most of the region is rapidly drying out, and the scant residual
moisture over the eastern areas is shifting east, out of the
region. Through the weekend ahead, high pressure will build aloft,
resulting in temperatures warming to well above normal, very dry air,
driving minRH into the lower single-digits, and deep instability.
That will dry out soils and fuels and Elevate fire weather conditions.
Fortunately, the same high pressure will keep winds from getting too
strong, with just breezy afternoons expected. Next week, the high
pressure moves away, allowing temperatures to ease a bit, bit most
of the region will remain quite dry. There is some minor potential
for rain and storms over the Sacs Monday through Wednesday.
