.DISCUSSION...
The region is in a brief dry spell, that will continue today, with
most of the area staying free from rain or storms, seeing only fair
weather clouds. The Gila region may see a few pop-up afternoon storms
that will drift north. Afternoon temperatures will be near seasonal
today and tomorrow, before cooling below normal Sunday into next week.
Tomorrow deep tropical moisture will begin to wash in from the west.
Expect abundant clouds and developing showers and storms staring over
SW New Mexico, and advancing east through the afternoon and evening.
Much cooler and wetter conditions will dominate starting Saturday night,
and lasting through Tuesday. Expect widespread wetting rain, with very
elevated RH, lighter SW winds, and poor dispersion. By Wednesday drier
conditions should move in, especially over western areas by Wednesday.
