.DISCUSSION...
Expect another round of gusty and mostly dry thunderstorms across
the Sacramento Mountains and Gila this afternoon, with wetter
storms possible in the Bootheel. Thunderstorms and gusty outflow
will work into the lowlands this evening and tonight, helping to
spread the moisture around. This will result in an uptick in
thunderstorm activity, with wetting rains becoming more likely
Sunday through Tuesday. Expect a modest decrease in temperatures
as well.
Precip chances will diminish for Wednesday and Thursday, but with
lingering thunderstorms chances focused over the higher terrain.
A more typical monsoon moisture plume looks to set up over the
region towards next weekend.
