While rainfall has diminished, areas of flooding remain due to the slowly draining terrain in the area. At 740 AM, county dispatchers reported water 2 feet deep just north of the Columbus Palomas Port of Entry. Water was also flowing across Highway 11 between mile markers 1 and 2. Deep water was also reported near mile marker 93 on Highway 9 just east of Columbus. - Rainfall amounts over the village of Columbus were much lower, though over 1.20 inches was recorded at Pancho Villa State Park. - Some locations that may experience flooding include...
