Northwestern Otero County in south central New Mexico... * Until 300 AM MDT. * At 1019 PM MDT, Heavy rain has subsided across most of the warning area, but runoff continues, and additional rain has fallen upstream over Nogal Canyon. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams. The gauge on Tularosa Creek near the west end of Gato Mountain Road rose by about 4.5 feet between 9 and 9:30 PM, reaching 6.5 feet, or 1100 cfs. Record flows are over 4000 cfs.
