...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 AM MDT EARLY THIS
MORNING FOR SOUTHEASTERN DONA ANA COUNTY...

At 1236 AM MDT, At 1230 AM MDT, only light rain was falling over the
Vado area. Observed water flow in the Vado Arroyo has diminished,
and emergency management reports so far no homes are threatened by
high water. Only minor flooding is expected to occur in the lowest
lying areas around Vado.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar and automated gauges.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of arroyos, roads, and low lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Vado and Del Cerro.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
