At 312 AM MDT, Thunderstorms producing heavy rain upstream of Rincon Arroyo. Between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Emergency management have confirmed significant increases in flow near Rincon. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Emergency management reported. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and arroyos, rural areas, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Upham and Rincon. This includes the following streams and drainages... Rincon Arroyo and Rio Grande. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain.
