...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING
FOR NORTHEASTERN LUNA COUNTY...

At 706 PM MDT, Thunderstorms have built back over Uvas Valley and
Nutt again, bringing heavy rainfall to the area. The axis of
heaviest rainfall extends along the drainage that follows Uvas
Valley Road, where between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain has fallen.
Runoff will slowly drain SE to NW along and near Uvas Valley Road
before curving into low lying areas south of Highway 26.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Radar.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, rural roads,
         as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Nutt and Uvas Valley.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
