...FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED...

The Flood Watch is cancelled for a portion of south central New
Mexico, including the following areas, East Central Tularosa
Basin/Alamogordo, Northern Dona Ana County, Sierra County Lakes,
Southeast Tularosa Basin, Southern Dona Ana County/Mesilla Valley
and West Central Tularosa Basin/White Sands.

A lack of instability will limit the risk of flash flooding to the
Sacramento Mountains, the Gila Region, and portions of Southwestern
New Mexico later today into tonight. The risk of flash flooding is
too low to warrant a Watch in South-Central New Mexico.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM NOON MDT TODAY THROUGH LATE
TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southern New Mexico including the Sacramento
  Mountains, the Black Range and Gila Regions, and the lowland
  deserts of Southwestern New Mexico.

* WHEN...From noon MDT today through late tonight. The risk of flash
  flooding in the lowlands of southwestern New Mexico will mainly be
  in the evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
