The National Weather Service in El Paso has issued a

* Dust Advisory for...
  South central Grant County in southwestern New Mexico...
  Southern Luna County in southwestern New Mexico...
  Central Hidalgo County in southwestern New Mexico...

* Until 700 PM MDT.

* At 626 PM MDT, a dust channel was near Hermanas, moving south at 25
  mph.

  HAZARD...Less than two miles visibility with strong wind in excess
           of 40 mph.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar.

  IMPACT...Hazardous travel.

* This includes Interstate 10 in New Mexico between mile markers 1
  and 49.

Locations impacted include...
Lordsburg, Cotton City, Hachita, Columbus, Steins, Rodeo, Animas,
Playas, Carzalia Valley, Hermanas, Road Forks, Separ, Windmill,
Lordsburg Playa, Granite Gap, Shakespeare, Pyramid Mountains, Hachita
Valley, Camp Ramsey, and Waterloo.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Blowing dust brings reduced visibility, leading to dangerous driving
conditions. If driving, avoid blowing dust if possible. If caught in
dense blowing dust, pull off the road, turn off your lights and keep
your foot off the brake.
