DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK

At 200 PM PDT (2100 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Norbert was
located near latitude 16.5 North, longitude 120.5 West. Norbert is
moving toward the west near 14 mph (22 km/h), and this motion is
expected to continue through Friday. A turn toward the
west-northwest is forecast by Friday night.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 45 mph (75 km/h) with
higher gusts. Gradual strengthening is forecast over the next few
days.

Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 60 miles (95 km)
from the center.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1002 mb (29.59 inches).
