A stout Pacific low will approach the region tonight and Tuesday,
and slowly pass by to our north Wednesday. This system will make
for an extended period of strong winds. Tonight a westerly low
level jet will make for LLWS and mountain wave activity over east
slopes of the Franklins, impacting the airport. After a brief
slacking of winds Tuesday morning, winds will quickly increase
again by late morning.

Expect west winds of 20-25 kts with gusts 30-35 kts overnight.
Tuesday, winds will continue west and increase to 25-35kt with
gusts 35-45 kts. Area of blowing dust are expected Tuesday
afternoon with visibilities dropping into the 1-3SM range,
possibly lower for short periods.
