.DISCUSSION...A low-pressure system moving through the region will
bring unsettled weather to the burn site on Monday and Tuesday.
We are expecting a mix of clouds and a steady chance of rain
throughout the period.

Monday: The main concern for operations will be a noticeable shift
in winds and atmospheric mixing. Southwest winds will start light
in the morning but will pick up by the afternoon, with gusts
reaching 17 mph. Mixing heights will rise sharply from near the
surface to over 4,000 feet by mid-day. This improved mixing,
combined with transport winds jumping to 24 mph, should help with
smoke dispersal, though rain chances increase to 40% by late
afternoon.

Monday Night into Tuesday:
Humidity will recover fully, reaching 100% by early Tuesday
morning. Winds will calm down and become more variable overnight.
On Tuesday, rain becomes more likely as the day goes on. Expect
cooler temperatures with a high only reaching 54 degrees. If any
of these conditionsspecifically the gusty afternoon winds or the
timing of the raininterfere with your burn plan, please reach out
to the office.
