Rainfall amounts will increase Friday morning with 0.25 to 0.35 inches in 6 hours expected to develop by 10 AM. These moderate to heavier rain rates will likely continue into the afternoon and then start to wind down to less than a tenth of an inch in 6 hours Friday evening through Saturday. A period of relatively drier weather with only a 10-20% chance for sprinkles or a few hundredths of an inch will follow in a cold airmass Saturday night and Sunday. Storm total rainfall from 5 AM Friday to 5 AM Saturday will range from 1.0 to 1.75 inches for the higher elevations and western slopes to 0.50 to 1.0 inches for lower elevations and valleys. A colder storm will swoop down across the area on Monday, bringing another 0.25 to 1.25 inches of rainfall and some snow above about 5500 to 6000 feet through Monday night.
