.DISCUSSION...NNE winds developing this afternoon could cause RH recoveries
to drop from the previous few days. Temperatures will rise as offshore flow
brings warmer, interior air into the burn area. Overnight thermal belts are
expected to form, causing the burn site to be in drier than expected humidities.
This warming/drying trend will continue through midweek before the influence of
a cut-off low will begin to impact the burn site. Models are beginning to have
some agreement on the timing of this low pressure, with the rain arriving as early
as midday Friday. However, the trajectory and associated rain totals of this low are
still to be resolved with some models showing 0.25" totals up to 0.75" totals.
More information will be available on this feature through the week as more data
initializes. Confidence is high however that there will be some rain, the forecast
challenge for the next couple of days is following and predicting where the bulk of
the moisture with this feature will end up end of this week into the early weekend.
