Some lingering elevated instability will continue to aid in better mixing, effective ventilation, and plume dominated behavior. Mixing heights will also subsequently rise to 9000 to 10000 ft in the afternoons. Instability fades some Thursday, but the atmosphere remains well- mixed, keeping afternoon mixing heights elevated. Another day or two of dry conditions, high temperatures, and gusty diurnal winds are expected. A shortwave trof will push in from the west Friday. A frontal passage will bring down overall temperatures, keep winds gusty, and allow for more robust nighttime recoveries. This system will also bring more elevated instability. A slight chance for an afternoon thunderstorm over the Trinity horn region will remain over the next couple of days, and possibly Friday. .TODAY... Sky/weather.........Sunny.
