.DISCUSSION...Dry and stable conditions will continue today as an
upper-level ridge remains the dominant influence over Lake
County. While a trough will approach the Pacific Northwest tonight
and Sunday, bringing light rain to northern coastal areas,
current guidance indicates an 85% to 95% chance that Lake County
will remain dry with no measurable precipitation through this
forecast period.

TODAY (Ignition Window): Expect increasing mid-to-high level cloud
cover this afternoon as the offshore system nears. Mixing heights
will remain capped between 900-1600 ft AGL, with light transport
winds from the Northeast at 3-7 mph. Forecasters should note that
light and variable 20-foot winds (1-3 mph) will prevail at the
surface, providing a stable but potentially limited ventilation
environment for smoke dispersal.

TONIGHT & SUNDAY: Clouds will thicken tonight, but high pressure
is expected to "spring back" quickly by Monday, maintaining the
overall dry trend. Mixing heights will see a notable improvement
on Sunday afternoon, rising to 2600 ft AGL as transport winds
shift to the Northwest at 6-7 mph. This shift may improve smoke
clearance for any residual fuels. Temperature trends remain mild,
with highs near 68F and minimum RH values staying comfortably in
the 40s.
