THERE ARE HIGH PROBABILITIES FOR STRONG SOUTHERLY WINDS GUSTING OVER 45 MPH TO IMPACT THE COASTAL AREAS WEDNESDAY MORNING, AND STRONGER GUSTS GREATER 50 TO 60 MPH OVER THE INTERIOR RIDGES OF HUMBOLDT AND DEL NORTE COUNTIES. THERE WILL BE WIDESPREAD MODERATE RAINFALL, AND HEAVY RAINFALL RATES FOR NORTHERN HUMBOLDT AND DEL NORTE. A VERY UNSTABLE AIRMASS WILL DEVELOP WEDNESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY WITH THE ARRIVAL OF A COLD TROUGH, AND ISOLATED TO SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS WILL DEVELOP. SOME THUNDERSTORMS ALONG THE COASTAL WATERS AND COASTAL REGIONS ARE EXPECTED TO BE ON THE STRONGER SIDE WITH THE HIGH INSTABILITY, AND SPC HAS OUTLINED A MARGINAL RISK FOR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS ON WEDNESDAY. FARTHER SOUTH, LAKE COUNTY IS FORECAST TO COLLECT AROUND 0.4 TO 0.6 INCH OF ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WEDNESDAY.
