.DISCUSSION...Hot and very dry weather will continue to peak today with
the hottest valleys reaching over 100 with exceptionally dry RH
in the single digits. Overnight recoveries have also become
increasingly poor at mid and upper elevations as low as 30 percent.
Similar hot and dry conditions will continue through the weekend.
There is a very slight chance (5-10%) of dry thunderstorms over
the Trinity Alps Saturday and Sunday. Thunderstorm chances over
high terrain will increase early next week but any storms will
also become increasingly wet.
