OFFSHORE WINDS AND LOW RH FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE AREA...

.DISCUSSION...Strong northeast winds are observed generally from
of 25 to 35 mph and isolated gusts to 50 mph over the ridgetops
and highest terrain. These strong winds combined with very low RH
recoveries around 15 to 25 percent is leading to critical fire
weather conditions in southern Lake County. Very low daytime
humidity is forecast to continue today. Winds are expected to
gradually diminish later this morning and afternoon, but breezy
conditions will linger over some of the more prominent Lake County
ridgetops. Easterly breezes are forecast to weaken tonight into
Sunday, however it will remain locally gusty over the ridges.
Humidity will generally increase on Sunday as winds turn southerly
and westerly with the approach of a front. This front will
probably bring wetting rain (a 70% chance) to Del Norte County by
early Monday morning. Meanwhile, for Lake and Mendocino Counties,
wetting rain (0.10in) is highly unlikely from this front.
