.DISCUSSION...Hot and dry weather will continue though very
slightly ease today. Highs will remain in the upper 90s with RH
in the mid teens. Wind will remain generally gentle and terrain
driven. Monsoon moisture streaming over the area will bring
thunderstorms close to the area Sunday afternoon, though most
storms will likely remain north and east of the area. Similar hot
and dry weather will persist early this week, but the potential
for thunderstorms will increase with scattered dry thunderstorms
over high mountains during the afternoon . Mostly dry storms and
dry fuels will combine to generate a high risk of new fire
starts.
