...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in California...

  Navarro River at Navarro affecting Mendocino County.

For the Navarro River...including Navarro...Moderate flooding is
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL WEDNESDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is
  forecast.

* WHERE...Navarro River at Navarro.

* WHEN...Until Wednesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 30.0 feet, Water will flow over the south bank of the
  river approximately 1 mile east of Highway 1, and begins to flood
  property in this area including six homes. Expect closure of
  Highway 128. Motorists should use alternate routes.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 PM PST Tuesday the stage was 27.3 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:15 PM PST Tuesday was 27.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 32.3 feet just after
    midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage
    tomorrow morning to 11.2 feet late Thursday morning. It will
    rise to 11.3 feet early Thursday afternoon. It will then fall
    to 10.7 feet late Thursday evening. It will rise to 12.1 feet
    Friday morning. It will then fall again and remain below
    flood stage.
  - Flood stage is 23.0 feet.
  - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
    33.0 feet on 03/30/1974.
