.SYNOPSIS FOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WATERS...Fresh to strong
northerly winds will continue through the weekend south of Cape
Mendocino. Locally stronger winds with gale force gusts will be
localized in areas just downwind of Cape Mendocino. North of the
Cape, slightly weaker moderate to fresh northerly winds are
expected. Seas will mainly be wind driven and likely to be steep
south of Cape Mendocino. Next week winds are expected to diminish
slightly before increase again late in the week.

Stronger than normal tidal currents from the lingering tsunami
surges continue in harbors and channel inlets, especially around
Crescent City. These will continue to gradually weaken.
