311 FZUS56 KEKA 021652 CWFEKA Coastal Waters Forecast for Northwest California National Weather Service Eureka CA 952 AM PDT Sat Aug 2 2025 WATERS FROM PT ST GEORGE TO PT ARENA AND OUT 60 NM PZZ400-030515- 952 AM PDT Sat Aug 2 2025 .SYNOPSIS FOR NORTHERN CALIFORNIA WATERS...Fresh to strong northerly winds will continue through the weekend south of Cape Mendocino. Locally stronger winds with gale force gusts will be localized in areas just downwind of Cape Mendocino. North of the Cape, slightly weaker moderate to fresh northerly winds are expected. Seas will mainly be wind driven and likely to be steep, especially south of Cape Mendocino. Steep seas are also possible Sunday morning in the outer waters north of the Cape. Next week winds are expected to diminish slightly before increasing again later in the week. Stronger than normal tidal currents from the lingering tsunami surges continue in harbors and channel inlets, especially around Crescent City.
