THE MOST NOTABLE ASPECT OF THE WEATHER FOR OCTOBER WAS THE WARMER
THAN NORMAL TEMPERATURES. HIGH PRESSURE AND OFFSHORE FLOW BROUGHT
WARM AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES. THE CLEAR SKIES ALLOWED TEMPERATURES TO
COOL OFF OVERNIGHT AND LOWS ENDED THE MONTH NEAR NORMAL. MOST OF THE
SURROUNDING AREAS SAW BELOW NORMAL RAINFALL, BUT EUREKA MANAGED TO
END THE MONTH SLIGHTLY ABOVE NORMAL. OCTOBER STILL HAS RELATIVELY
LOW NORMAL RAINFALL WITH JUST OVER 2 INCHES. BY CONTRAST NOVEMBER
NORMAL RAINFALL IS NEARLY 5 INCHES. MKK
