Fire Weather Planning Forecast For NE Kansas/NW Missouri
National Weather Service Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO
337 PM CDT Fri Oct 17 2025

.DISCUSSION...
RH has dropped to around 35 to 45 percent with SSW gusts up to 30
mph. Scattered wetting rains are likely tonight, but widespread
significant (aka drought busting) rain is not anticipated. Much
drier air moves in tomorrow afternoon behind a strong cold front,
with RH dropping to below 30 percent for most locations along with
NNW winds gusting up to 35 mph. This may yield elevated fire
weather conditions for tomorrow afternoon and early evening. Very
low RH (25 percent or less) is likely on Sunday afternoon, but
winds should have relaxed to around 10-12 mph by then.
