Fire Weather Planning Forecast For NE Kansas/NW Missouri
National Weather Service Kansas City/Pleasant Hill MO
230 AM CDT Fri Oct 18 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Warmer temperatures with lower dewpoints will yield RH values in
the lower 20s this afternoon especially for central Missouri.
Wind gusts are expected to top off around 20 kts through the
afternoon. These values are not at headline thresholds, but
elevated fire weather concerns are expected today with the warm
and dry conditions. Fires will have the potential to spread
quickly during the middle of the afternoon.
