...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Missouri...

  Chariton River near Prairie Hill affecting Chariton and Macon
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT TO EARLY TUESDAY
MORNING...

* WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Chariton River near Prairie Hill.

* WHEN...From late tonight to early Tuesday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Fields along the river begin to flood.
  At 19.0 feet, Farmland and secondary roads in the Chariton River
  floodplain are under water.
  At 20.0 feet, State Highway 129 is overtopped by flood waters 8
  miles north of Salisbury.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 3:45 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 9.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    just after midnight tonight to a crest of 19.0 feet early
    tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early
    Monday morning.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
