...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Kansas, including the following areas,
  Atchison KS, Doniphan, Johnson KS, Leavenworth, Linn KS, Miami and
  Wyandotte and Missouri, including the following areas, Andrew,
  Atchison MO, Bates, Buchanan, Caldwell, Cass, Clay, Clinton,
  Daviess, De Kalb, Gentry, Harrison, Henry, Holt, Jackson, Johnson
  MO, Lafayette, Nodaway, Platte, Ray and Worth.

* WHEN...Through Monday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water
  crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Many areas have received 1 to 3 inches of rainfall from
    thunderstorms early this morning through the afternoon. With
    the additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 3 inches possible
    with the thunderstorm activity expected overnight into
    tomorrow morning, localized flash flooding is possible,
    especially in urban areas and with more vulnerable small
    streams and low-water crossings.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
