...FLOOD WATCH IS CANCELLED...

The Flood Watch is cancelled for portions of north central and
northwest Missouri, including the following areas, in north central
Missouri, Daviess, Grundy, Harrison, Mercer, Putnam and Sullivan. In
northwest Missouri, Andrew, Atchison MO, De Kalb, Gentry, Holt,
Nodaway and Worth.

The flooding threat has ended, as the strongest storms have moved
south and east of the area. Therefore, the Flood Watch is being
cancelled.

...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 AM CDT FRIDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of Kansas, including the following areas,
  Atchison, Doniphan, Johnson, Leavenworth, Miami, and Wyandotte,
  and portions of Missouri, including the following areas, Buchanan,
  Caldwell, Carroll, Cass, Clay, Clinton, Jackson, Lafayette, Linn,
  Livingston, Platte, and Ray.

* WHEN...Until 3 AM CDT Friday.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Thunderstorms have developed in northeast Kansas and west-
    central and central Missouri this evening. Given a very moist
    environment, the strongest storms may produce excessive
    rainfall rates, leading to localized flash flooding. These
    storms are expected to diminish or move off to the southeast
    late tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
