...Synopsis...
The upper-level and surface pattern on Friday will be quite similar
to Thursday. Dry and windy conditions are still possible in
Southwest, though surface winds may be slightly weaker on account of
a weaker pressure gradient. Another day of locally elevated
conditions are possible, but the overall fire weather threat should
be low. Thunderstorms are probable over the same areas of the Great
Basin. These storms will likely bring wetting rainfall and
significant lightning ignition concerns are not expected.
