384 ACUS01 KWNS 301157 SWODY1 SPC AC 301156 Day 1 Convective Outlook NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 0656 AM CDT Tue Sep 30 2025 Valid 301300Z - 011200Z ...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST... ...SUMMARY... Severe storms are unlikely today and tonight. A large upper ridge will dominate the weather across the central US today, while an upper trough overspreads much of the western states. A shortwave trough currently over southern CA/NV will lift northeastward today, providing a focus for scattered thunderstorms across the Great Basin and northern/central Rockies. Other isolated thunderstorms will be possible along the OR coast, the FL east coast, and the mountains of north GA into east TN. In all of these areas, weak instability and limited shear will preclude severe storms today. ..Hart/Dean.. 09/30/2025 $$
