...Synopsis...
Broad troughing in the West will persist today. A stalled boundary
will be located in the central Great Basin. Some enhancement to
mid-level flow will occur across the Southwest. This will lead to
dry and breezy conditions in parts of eastern Arizona and western
New Mexico. However, fuel indices have recently decreased due to
precipitation. Only locally elevated conditions are expected.
Scattered storms are expected near the Great Basin boundary. Given
storm coverage, slow storm motions, and limited fuel receptiveness
in most locations, lightning ignition potential should remain low.
