...Strong thunderstorms will impact portions of south central Jo
Daviess, northwestern Scott, central Clinton and south central
Jackson Counties through 515 PM CDT...

At 430 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Lost Nation to near Calamus. Movement was
northeast at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Strong winds could break small tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Maquoketa, DeWitt, Preston, Grand Mound, Delmar, Lost Nation,
Calamus, Charlotte, Donahue, Welton, Springbrook, Spragueville, Van
Buren, Dixon, Goose Lake, Lyons, Maquoketa Municipal Airport, Jackson
County Fairgrounds, Sherman Park, and Clinton County Fairgrounds.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring and may lead to localized flooding.
Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
