...Gusty Northwest Winds Leading to Blowing and Drifting Snow
This Morning...

Gusty northwest winds between 25 to 35 mph this morning will lead
to patchy blowing and drifting snow, particularly on west to east
oriented roadways. Roads in northwest Illinois are being reported
as partially to completely covered with snow and ice early this
morning by Illinois Department of Transportation. Also, an area
of light snow is moving eastward through far eastern Iowa,
leading to minor reduction in visibilities and a dusting on
roadways.

If out driving this morning, be prepared for variable and slippery
road conditions. Give yourself extra time to reach your destination,
take it slow, and watch for lingering slick spots.
