At 417 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a line of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 6 miles southeast of Bloomfield to 6 miles southeast of Brashear. Movement was northeast at 40 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Strong winds could break small tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Hitt, Wyaconda, Douds, Selma, South Gorin, Prospect Grove, Arbela, Lake Sugema Campground, Scotland County Fairgrounds, Fairmont, Memphis, Lacey Keosauqua State Park, Mount Sterling, Cantril, Azen, Kilbourn, Etna, Van Buren County Fairgrounds, Sand Hill, and Memphis Memorial Airport. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
